Willowynds on a Whym (Jessie) ...................
 
Jessie is a black brown gelding by Farmore Publicity and out of Rio Oso Sugar N Spice. It has been over ten years since we purchased him from Tammy Burgin of Farmore Farms Welsh Ponies. It was the purchase of this great pony that led to the creation of VIP Farms. Jessie taught me many things as a young rider, and to this day he continues to teach me. We have won numerous championships together on the S.A.H.J.A, Welsh and "A" circuits. Jessie has also taught a few other young riders the ropes. He recently taught 8 year old Kennedy Keating how to walk and trot. Look for Jessie and Kennedy in the show ring.

Cassie, as she is known around the barn, was purchased last spring as a mount for niece Kennedy Keating. She is a half sister to my very first pony, Willowynds on a Whym, both sharing the sire Farmore Publicity. Publicity foals make extraordinary performance ponies, and I had to snatch this one up. And indeed she has proven her sire proud, coming back into the game after being out for over 6 years, and helping to teach a leadliner to walk trot, as well as unconditional love. Cassie is not only a pro at kids stuff, she is trained to pull a cart, (in fact she trained me on how its really done!), and has recently been started over fences. Cassie has found herself a long term home here at VIP Farms, as a teacher and a future broodmare. Plans to cross her to Ecstasy are being talked about for the 2007 or 2008 breeding season. Until then look for this social mare and her little companion on the Welsh, SAHJA, and in the future the hunter circuit.
